Hello there! I'm Genoveva, the founder of Meza Talbott Law, where we're all about providing top-notch legal services with a personal touch. Our firm specializes in family law and estates, offering our clients a unique blend of expertise and compassion.

 

Let me give you a little background about myself. I graduated from UCLA in 1999, then USC Law School in 2002, and have since accumulated extensive experience in the legal field. Before starting this firm in 2019, I worked at high-end celebrity divorce firms for nearly a decade. In 2010, I co-founded my first successful boutique family law firm, where I gained valuable insights into the complexities of family law and handled extensive litigation of divorces, child custody, financial support, and prenuptial agreements. However, after eight years, I felt the need for a change and decided to pursue a more balanced, non-litigation lifestyle that allowed me to focus on helping my clients stay out of court.

 

My journey into law wasn't just about building a career but also about creating a life that allowed me to prioritize my family. As a mom of two wonderful children, I understand the importance of work-life balance. That's why I aim to build a firm that serves our clients exceptionally and fosters a supportive environment for our team and their families.

I take immense pride in being a Latina lawyer, a rare gem in the legal profession, where only about 2% of lawyers in the United States are Latina. As an immigrant, a third-generation lawyer, a wife, and a mother, my journey is woven with threads of diverse experiences that have profoundly shaped my approach to the law. Fluent in Spanish and English, with conversational French skills (it was one of my college majors!), I bridge cultural divides and connect with clients on a deeper level. My passion lies in empowering all individuals, but particularly Latinas and their families, to safeguard themselves, their loved ones, and their legacies with the necessary legal tools. This commitment stems from a deeply rooted desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve. My diverse background equips me with a unique perspective and enables me to provide empathetic support during even the most challenging times.
