"Your family matters and you deserve experienced legal representation. I spent almost two decades fighting for my clients in court. I have seen firsthand the expense and stress of litigation. I want to help you use all the tools available to keep you and your family out of court."
I've been a practicing attorney in Southern California since 2003. In 2018, I founded Meza Talbott Law, a family and estate firm to help families protect themselves, their loved ones, and their legacies. Before opening Meza Talbott Law, I was a founding partner of Talbott + Kim, LLP, a successful family law firm that served southern California for eight years.
From ESL to ESQ.
I am an immigrant from Mexico and a first-generation professional in the United States. I am so proud to be one of the 2% Latina attorneys in the US. But, the legal profession runs in my blood. My father and grandfather were both accomplished attorneys in Mexico. So, technically, I am a third-generation lawyer.
I attended UCLA on a 4-year scholarship with majors in Political Science and French, making me trilingual. I then received my J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, also on a full-tuition scholarship for all three years.
I married my college sweetheart and we have two beautiful kids. We are big Disney fans and love spending time at all their resorts and parks. If you need Disney tips, I can give you a ton!
I am an award-winning attorney
Most recently, the California State Senate (25th District) selected me as a “Women in Business.” In 2011, I was honored to be elected to serve as President of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association after having served on its Executive Board for seven years. In 2011 I was selected as OC Metro’s “40 Under 40” and in 2008, as a “Top Women in Business.” While in law school, I was elected to serve as Vice President of the La Raza Law Student Association.
I will always give back
Giving back to the world, by giving of my time, money, and resources, has always been a part of my life. I volunteer to speak on matters relating to family law, estate planning, probate, and of course, diversity in the legal profession. I donate hundreds of hours to pro bono legal clinics, such as LA Library's Lawyers in the Library and South Bay Children's Center, as well as other nonprofit organizations whose mission is to support underrepresented individuals in legal and non-legal matters.
On top of that, I am a member of the Board of Shoes That Fit, a California nonprofit organization that has been recognized nationwide for its efforts in helping children receive new athletic shoes. I also serve on the boards of Orange County Conservations Corps and National Latina Business Women Association - Inland Empire.
I'd love to get to know you!
